Indoor Climbing Assistant

Indoor Climbing Assistant is for people aged 16+ who want to support a qualified instructor deliver a climbing session on an artificial wall. It’s all about becoming a competent assistant in a climbing wall setting. More information is available on the Mountain Training Website.
There are two stages in the scheme:

  • Attend a one day combined training and assessment course with us.

  • Continue to stay current and up to date.

And four areas in the syllabus :

  • Technical competence

  • Management and decision making

  • Teaching and learning skills

  • The climbing environment
