Tidal Validation

This South Wales specific course boosts your existing climbing qualification to include tidal venues. There are 2 levels of training available:

Bottom Access - covers crags like Three Cliffs where you can walk in and out so long as you time it right.

Top Access - covers crags like those around Southgate and Penally where you climb above the sea and the only exit is up.

Both courses cover Tides, Awareness, Planning and Eascpe Routes, as well as equipment and environmental condierations.

The Top Access course is more techncial and also covers Hoists and  Descents.

On successful completion of the course you will be awarded a Validation certificate noting the skills and knowledge assessed. This certificate does not expire, but it is important that you remain current in your competence.
